Yep! It definitely just stopped abruptly, versus having an actual ending. However, in this case it’s not TOO bad, because one can deduce what will happen, but it’s so much more fulfilling to hear an actual ending.

That story had NO ending. My sixth grade teacher taught me, in creative writing, that a story must have an ending. This has no ending.
